Story Ideas

I get most of my story ideas from my own life. I basically just changed the characters’ names. For some of my stories, I just relate to other stories. Like in this book I am currently working on, Wishing Stars, is related to the book, Fish in a Tree. The main character is a girl, it’s in First Person point of view, and the story mostly takes place at school. Every author has flaws. My problem is that I keep getting new story ideas almost daily. So, naturally, I kept beginning new stories. I barely ever finished one–even if I’ve been working on it for more than a year! Take Cassidy Quinns and the Magic Necklace. I’ve been working on that for more than a year, and I STILL haven’t finished it! There was just other stories I’ve been working on. Story ideas fly in, and sometimes even out. I sometimes think that one story idea isn’t worth it, so I just stop writing the story altogether. As I write, I keep the story idea in my head.

  1. It is definitely true…reali life gives you a rich collection of topics to choose from. I can see you writing about two sisters who band together to solve problems, i.e. Autumn and Ashlyn????
